Electronic Tax Payment System

Pay your federal taxes (individual/business employment) online with the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS). It's secure, easy to use, and allows 24/7 access to initiate your tax payments.

EFTPS Online is designed to accommodate nearly all business and individual federal tax payments, including corporate, excise and employment taxes for businesses and 1040 quarterly estimated payments for individuals.

Step 1: Enroll for EFTPS

The first step to using EFTPS Online is to enroll. You need the following information:

• Tax Payer Identification Number (Employment Identification Number or Social Security Number)
• CASE Routing Number, 2724-8198-1, and your complete CASE account number
• Exact spelling of your name and address as it appears on your IRS tax documents

Complete the enrollment process in minutes.

• Visit EFTPS at www.eftps.gov
• Select Business or Individual Enrollment under the Enrollment Tab
• Complete the requested information
• Click Submit

10-15 days after enrollment, you'll receive an EFTPS Confirmation Package by mail with instructions on how to obtain your Internet Password. A PIN will be mailed separately. You must have an Internet Password and PIN to use EFTPS Online.

Edit or add additional enrollments to your EFTPS profile at any time.

Step 2: Schedule Your Tax Payment Online

Avoid last minute trips to the credit union or missed deadlines by scheduling your payments online.

• Visit EFTPS Online at www.eftps.gov
• Click "Make a Payment"
• Select the federal tax you wish to pay
• Enter the tax payment amount, tax period and date you wish the payment to occur

You will receive an EFT Acknowledgement Number as a receipt of your instructions. On the scheduled payment date, funds are transferred from your CASE account to the U.S. Treasury and your tax records will be updated at the IRS.

Payment cancellations must take place at least 2 days before the scheduled payment date.
